Community Wellbeing & Lived Experience Programme

A community-led programme supporting diaspora communities across Wales through safe spaces, lived experience sharing, inclusion, diversity, and culturally relevant wellbeing support.

Turning lived experience into stronger community wellbeing.

This programme creates trusted spaces where people can speak openly, feel heard, and build meaningful connections. Through community engagement, we support belonging, reduce isolation, and help diaspora voices shape better understanding and lasting social impact.

About the Programme

The Community Wellbeing & Lived Experience Programme is designed to improve connection, confidence, and wellbeing within diaspora communities. It provides safe and inclusive spaces where participants can share lived experiences, discuss real challenges, and access peer support in a welcoming environment.

What We Do

  • Facilitate safe spaces for lived experience sharing
  • Support inclusion, diversity, and belonging
  • Encourage open conversations around wellbeing
  • Reduce isolation through community connection
  • Promote culturally relevant support and engagement

Who It’s For

This programme is for individuals within diaspora communities who are seeking connection, support, and a safe space to be heard. It is especially valuable for newly arrived migrants, international students, families, underrepresented groups, and people experiencing isolation or low confidence.

Programme Impact

By placing lived experience at the centre, this programme strengthens community wellbeing, representation, equality, and inclusion. It also helps generate community insight that can support organisations and services to better understand and respond to diverse communities.
